Abstract:
The paper reports on the Information Department, and in particular on the patent documentation activities of the fourth biggest chemical company in the Federal Republic of Germany, Henkel KGaA in Düsseldorf. After a short review of the organisational structure, the flow of information is shown with sources, storage, retrieval, and distribution within the firm.
