Abstract: Bu makalede, GAP (Guneydogu Anadolu Projesi), illerinde meydana gelen ekonomik ve sosyal donusum, guncel istatistiki veriler isiginda elestirel analize tabi tutulmaktadir. GAP, bolgelerarasi farklilasmayi ve az gelismisligi gidermeyi amaclayan entegre bir kalkinma projesidir. Kirsal alandaki verimliligi ve istihdami arttirmak, buyuk kentlerin nufus emme kapasitesini gelistirmek, bolge kaynaklarinin etkili kullanimini saglamak GAP’in temel kalkinma hedefleri arasindadir. Bu makalede, soz konusu projenin, bolge illerinin sosyal, ekonomik ve kulturel yapisi uzerindeki olasi etkileri tartisilmaktadir.
