Tendencies in the world trade transportation

O. Stepanov

Economy and Forecasting, 2002, issue 3, 91-101

Abstract: The article considers the use of statistical methods in the analysis and forecasting of the world trade transportation. For this purpose, the author uses such good-showing models as gravitation and balance ones. The investigation's peculiarity consists in the fact that the researcher analyzes both the tendencies of regional export-import trade volumes as a whole, and those of interregional trade volumes. The obtained results may be used to determine the volumes of transit transportation of different countries, including Ukraine.
