EC and US economies: position in the global space and problems of real convergence

Abstract: The present study focuses on the determination of the role of the biggest world economies in the international financial development and specific processes of their convergence. The author characterizes the problems of real convergence of the EC and US economies, provides a comparative assessment of the main parameters of their current functioning, and points out the possibilities of convergence of those parameters in the next future.
