Structural change in Ukraine's economy: comparison with global tendencies

Abstract:
The author deals with regularities of macro-structural change and dependence of the dynamics of economic growth on the activities composition of the economy. She investigates structural change taking place in Ukraine's economy by aggregated and strategic economic sectors in the process of transformation and in comparison with global tendencies. The article identifies major macrostructural distortions of Ukraine's economy, which should be corrected in order to speed up economic growth and raise the competitive position of Ukraine's economy. The article's objective was comparative research with the use of methodological approaches common for international institutions.
