Short-term forecast of wages in Ukraine

Abstract: The author considers a method of forecasting the pay-roll fund necessary to raise the wages of the employed in the economy and in the budget-funded sector in 2005-2006, with the wages' gradual catch-up with the subsistence level. She determines the forecast's assumptions, scenarios and feasibility conditions. There are forecasts estimates of the increase in the pay-roll fund of employed in the budget-funded sector. The author determines limits, conditions and consequences of such increase for macroeconomic situation in Ukraine and justifies the ways to increase wages as an internal factor of economic growth.
