Economy and Forecasting, 2006, issue 4, 76-91
Abstract:
The authors specify the main factors of young people's involvement in labor activities and the degree of their impact on employment. The article provides analysis of the interaction between the system of vocational education and labor market, as well as the ways and stages of young people's entry to labor market, in particular, search of the first job. The authors determine the motives and preconditions of young people's external migration. Priority models of young people's behavior and adaptation strategies have been specified on the basis of monitoring-based sociological research. There are recommendations oriented to optimization of the government regulation of youth employment and employment promotion, as well as prevention of unemployment and massive labor migration.
