Methodological aspects of raising forecast reliability: the example of coal mining
Z. Kaira
Economy and Forecasting, 2007, issue 3, 135-147
Abstract:
The author proposes a method to increase forecast reliability based on the use of several forecast models with their consequent integration into a single lineal model in accordance with a certain rule. The method's novelty consists in the calculation of weight coefficients for each pair of individual forecasts integrated into the single model. The resulting forecast model is characterized by increased reliability as to its development and the use of the forecasts in marketing information systems.
