Forecasting conjuncture changes and business cycles

Abstract: The author deals with the problem of the forecasting of conjuncture and business cycles with the use of composite leading indicators. He analyzes the theory of business cycles and the methodology and practice of conjuncture forecasting. Cyclical indicators for the national economy have been selected with the use of seasonal adjustment, regression analysis, and peak-and-through analysis.
