An analytical forecast of natality for Ukraine: demographic policy checkpoints
P. Shevchuk
Economy and Forecasting, 2009, issue 4, 140-149
Abstract:
In this investigation, the author shows the dynamics of population in the context of several theoretical hypotheses of natality. Also, the level of natality required to support a certain number of population has been calculated using the cohort-component method. Using a stable population model, the author calculates the level of discrepancy (instability coefficient) of the modern age population structure of Ukraine, its reproduction regime and stabilization period.
