Private financing of education in Europe

Abstract:
The paper presents the changes in the level and structure of expenditure of households in education in European countries in 1995−2012. The source of information used in this study was the systematic analyses of household budget survey by the database Eurostat. In the households located in Ireland and Cyprus higher expenditure of education is observed, as compared to the households of the Nordic countries, Czech Republic and Belgium.
