Ekonomia journal, 2002, vol. 7
Abstract:
The subject of this article is the comparison of the strength of influence of income mobility factors in Poland, Hungary, and the UK. The choice of countries is the result of a hypothesis claiming that socio-economic transformation should intensify income mobility. Analysis is conducted by means of correlation coefficients, transition-matrix-based measures and regression models. Individual and household income data comes fromthe PACO panel database and covers the years 1991-1996.
