Abstract: The development experienced in recent years by the Insurance Sector has been decisive for focussing attention on the different movements at work in this area of economic activity. This article by Amancio Betzuen and Pedro Mier analyses the Insurance Sector in the Basque Country during the past few years from the point of view of consumers, producers and products (car, life and multi-risk insurance), and offers a comparison with other industrialised countries.
