Naturaleza y causas del comercio intra-industrial

Abstract: In this paper we first approach the concept, measurement and main explanations of intra-industry trade. Furthermore we analyze the nature of these trade flows and the specialization they bring about. Finally, we present empirical evidence for the Spanish industry on the share of this sort of trade over total exchanges in m anufactures, the type of product differentiation that prevails in them (distinguishing between vertical and horizontal varieties) and its dynamics.
