Abstract:
In the last few years, the entrepreneurial intervention of regional governments in Spain, with the objective to promote regional economic development, has been undertaken through the Regional Development Agencies, as a new public instrument of regional policy that has undergone a sharp increase recently. At the present article it is examined the Regional Development Agencies evolution during the early nineties, doing emphasis on technological promoting and innovation actions, the endowment of infrastructure and, finally, the main accounts and ratios of economic and financial structure.
