Abstract: In this work we present our estimates on the quantification of the poverty in the Basque Country, using for this the EPF (1990/91). In a first part is explained the methodology used to obtain subjective poverty thresholds, and are presented some results. In the second part we compare these results with those obtained in the study accomplished in 1987 by the Basque Government, analysing the main existing differences, as well as the variations introduced in the methodology for the achievement of poverty thresholds.
