Pleno empleo: el núcleo del estado de bienestar

Abstract:
The welfare state was built around the core notion of full employment. The disappearance of this goal as a real part of economic policy after 1973 characterised the 'crisis' from which we still do not appear to have emerged and called into question the viability of the welfare state. Achieving full employment today is not an impossible target. It only requires deliberation and dedication in approaches, an ability to learn from past mistakes and above all, political will.
