Abstract:
This article briefly characterises the relations, which exist between financial systems and the actual economy traditionally known as 'banking and industry'. No conclusive arguments are found in favour of any extreme form of such relations, and the development of financial systems themselves takes them towards hybrid forms of relation between saving and productive placement. There is increasing coexistence of direct and indirect forms. Given that the ownership of financial assets issued by companies implies the holding of rights in regard to their management, supervision and control, this article also describes the systems of government in place at companies and extreme forms of such government which may arise depending on internal or external mechanisms.
