Abstract: This paper studies the influence of the approaches for process activities execution for the new product development (sequential versus overlapped) on the product quality, taking the innovation level as control variable. A linear regression analysis of a sample manufacturers of electronic material was used in order to find empirical evidence. Results seem to indicate that execution of activities under an overlapping approach is related positively with higher product quality.
