Abstract: The present work is a summary and recollection of the main and most important statistical sources done and existing on the foreign direct investment, and also on the latest literature published on such phenomenon and on «the off shore outsourcing». Every try to put together a truly representative survey seems to often times be limited by the own author’s knowledge and preferences, subjective by nature, when focusing their attention and interests in all of those aspects considered most relevant, and specially in such overwhelmingly ever written subject.
