Abstract:
This article presents diverse reflections about the different methodological aspects that assist the process of the evaluation of the productive efficiency in the superior education institutions. A peculiarity of the university institutions is that these ones carry out simultaneously two different activities; education and research, sharing thus an important part of its inputs. This fact will be present throughout the whole work where questions of relevancy will be revised and should be taken into account during all the steps of the analysis of the efficiency: delimitation and measurement of the inputs and the outputs of the activities, type selection and sample selection.
