Abstract: This article examines the housing policy implemented by the Basque Government, in accordance with the exclusive authority devolved to it in this matter under the regional Statute of Autonomy. In this sense, the article first describes the various organisational instruments developed over time to implement regional housing policy and then analyses and assesses how that policy has been implemented through successive Housing and Land Plans. Finally, a number of points regarding future housing policy in the Basque Country are made from the perspective of the complex current economic and real estate situation.
