Innovación social y cooperativas: convergencias y sinergias

Abstract:
Social innovation that has been characterized as internal or external intervention action –arising from people in need or from those who want to help–, social development –improving the welfare or social cohesion– that, through an original change in the provision of a service or production of a good. It could be intangibles or tangible, but the outcomes are generally achieved through a networked system and potentially to be reproducible. This is a phenomenon in recent years being the center of interest in various research groups, nationally and internationally. The purpose of this study is to reflect from the analysis of several cases of social innovation in the context of the cooperativism showing its key points and singularities.
