Abstract: Taking as a thread the idea of reproduction, the article follows the itinerary of the main debates, challenges, and problems that have conceptually displaced feminist economics from the discussion on domestic work to the most recent idea of sustainability of life. It begins with a critique of reproductive schemes developed by some schools in economics, continues with the recovery of domestic work, production-reproduction schemes, the idea of social reproduction and the concept of sustainability of life. It ends with an epilogue where arises the need for dialogue between economies that are for the same objective of sustainability of life.
