Abstract: The recent 2008 global financial crisis forced a fundamental movement in the direction of financial regulation. Financial Stability in Practice: Towards an Uncertain Future by Goodhart and Tsomocos is a collection of articles on financial (in)stability and financial regulation that provide an avenue for a better understanding and maintenance of financial stability. Goodhart and Tsomocos point out that there is no proper definition for financial stability except that it is a lack of financial instability in the system.
