Abstract: This paper develops an analytic framework from which we infer that, if the Mexican Revolution of 1910 would have not taken place, the process of capital accumulation will have follow its curse. After a number of year’s excess labour would have disappeared, wages would started to rise, the domestic market would have grown and the economy would have change from one exporter of row materials to one capital intensive export oriented one. The process of capital accumulation would not have been stopped for twenty-five years after the Revolution as it did. Second World War would have been found Mexico with a more developed industrial economy. The country would have taken a better economic advantage of this conflict and, perhaps, we would never have adopted a strategy of industrialization via import substitution. The standard of Living of the Mexican people would be larger that it is today.// En este trabajo se establece un marco analítico en el que se deduce que de no haberse dado la Revolución de 1910 el proceso de acumulación habría seguido su curso, al paso de los años se habría agotado el excedente de mano de obra, los salarios habrían comenzado a subir, se habría expandido el mercado interno y habríamos pasado de ser exportadores de materias primas a exportadores de bienes manufacturados intensivos en capital. El proceso de acumulación no se habría detenido por 25 años después de la Revolución, como lo hizo, y la segunda Guerra Mundial nos hubiera encontrado con un aparato industrial mucho más desarrollado. El país hubiera aprovechado mejor este acontecimiento y tal vez nunca habría aparecido una estrategia de industrialización mediante la sustitución de importaciones. La calidad de vida de los mexicanos sería muy superior a la que tenemos y viviríamos en una sociedad con menos problemas.
