Valores, normas y teoría económica. Algunas consideraciones

Abstract: A vast field to understand the individual economic behavior, apart from the different variants which are considered within the theory of the consumer, are the moral and social values, legal or in any kind of norm in a society. This actual study analyses the incorporation of these topics known as the maximization program. In particular, the objective is to introduce the moral values into the utility function and to study the role of the norms within the restrictive budget. As follows, three examples about the moral values and the norms are presented and which have a relevant role. It is the situation about credits in Mexico in 1995, it is also about the “market of stolen goods” and lastly it is about the possible origin of traditions that are very common in indigenous communities.// Un cambio muy propicio para entender el comportamiento económico del individuo, además de las variables consideradas dentro de la teoría del consumidor, son los valores morales y las normas sociales, legales o de cualquier índole que prevalecen en cualquier colectivo. El presente estudio analiza la incorporación de estas últimas variables dentro de lo que se conoce como el programa de maximización del agente económico. Concretamente, se persigue introducir los valores morales en la función de utilidad y estudiar el papel de las normas en la restricción presupuestaria. Después se presentan tres ejemplos en los que los valores morales y las normas tienen un papel relevante, ejemplos que versan acerca de la situación de la cartera vencida en México en 1995, del mercado de objetos robados y, por último, del posible origen de algunas tradiciones que tienen en común los grupos indígenas.
