Abstract: This article by Sraffa is one of the works that most revolutionized economic thought in the first decades of the 20th century, and is the starting point, if not for many books, then for a trend that is increasingly spreading throughout economic literature in the sense of modifying the traditional theory of value following the idea of imperfect or monopolistic competition.
