Abstract:
This paper studies information of 357 professors or researchers from 28 academic institutions in Mexico. All these individuals have published at least one paper between the years 2000 and 2010 in journals included in the EconLit database. The analysis indicates that these professors or researchers publish on average one paper in EconLit journals every two years and eight months. Moreover, most of these publications are concentrated in a small set of Mexican journals. On the other hand, few publications appear on prestigious international economics journals.
