Abstract:
PurposeFinding common and collective good in responsibility for growth is a very important concept and tool in creating integrative approaches to provide for the needed change in the development agenda, in sustaining and assisting in sustainability based value creation.Design/methodology/approachIn this conceptual paper, it is argued that nurturing a common future for all in connecting people and planet with process and progress goes through certain integrating isomorphic contexts in business environment which is very much relevant and intriguing in enhancing the triple bottom line for sustainability. This paper places much hope in a well-managed sustainable business environment to give the required space to build for better in sustainability as many key components are very closely related to the success factors in finding optimal intergenerational wants and needs in a collective socio-ecological responsibility.FindingsThe paper finds systematically the common and collective good as eco-economic and social responsibility for the necessary integration to serve fit in growing local and global aspirations in creation of certain best practices to support sustainability. In the designs for a better and balanced development agenda which works through innovative approaches driving forward the common and collective goodness has become inevitable in a sustainable growth pathway in the futuristic responsible growth for all.Practical implicationsThe paper finds that sustainability pathways are very much realistic and could be possible only by expanding the scope of finding better choices and working with the available options to have common and collective good interest, in one leading to the other.Social implicationsIn the phenomenon of business environment for sustainability, a multilevel multifaceted multilayered unification approach is needed, disciplining the discretion to frame and adapt to actions which can be enabled through keeping sustainable business space volatile.Originality/valueThis paper is very unique in recognition of isomorphic epistemological sustainability as a unifying factor running through common good and collective action, in planning and finding much relevance in a continuing thread of triple bottom line for the sustainability aspects.
