Retroperitoneal Tuberculosis in Pregnancy: A Case Report and Literature Review

Abstract: Tuberculosis is and infectious disease that can affect multiple organs and systems. It can involve the almost the whole body including the abdomen. Retroperitoneal involvement is uncommon, especially during pregnancy. We report the case of a pregnant woman with a retroperitoneal mass whose final diagnosis was tuberculosis, focusing on the timing and difficulties to ensure the diagnosis.
