EU Unilateral Power to Regulate the Global Trade Markets: The Brussels Effect

Abstract: This paper examines the unprecedented and heavily underrated global power that the EU exerts through its legal institutions and standards, and how it successfully transports that influence to the rest of the world. It pays particular attention to Prof Anu Bradford’s examples and some of the relevant agreements and negotiations that has been used to achieve this feat.
