Abstract:
Water scarcity, irregular supply and unhealthiness are problems coming from population explosion and density, expected for 2025. They will be conceptualized from a sustainable approach in two stages. In the first one, validity and likelihood will be settled for tools measuring ten variables: (1) water situation, (2) saving reasons, (3) control perception, (4) beliefs about availability, (5) knowledge on hygiene, (7) sense of community, (8) attitude towards situation, (9) use intentions and (10) sustainable behavior. All ten variables will be modeled and its likelihood will be demonstrated from the available data. It is expected that water situation will clearly determine its sustainable use, in a positive way, thought sustainability beliefs, reasons and intentions. In a second stage, two strategies will be designed, applied and evaluated towards promoting water sustainable use.
