Abstract:
This article is a critical approach to the most important Anglophone works and authors on Environmental History in the United States. The field has been growing in importance since the 1960s, when it started in the American universities and scholarly journals. From the States, the Environmental History has been adopted as a fruitful field of research worldwide, in part because it also satisfies the demand of a society increasingly interested in many environmental issues. The article points out to the major themes and authors concerning History and Nature, and by so doing, the article aims to provide with a critical account of the works on Environmental History written in English.
