Abstract:
This is a report on the Development speech and practice construction and implementation in Latin-America, focused in Colombia. The formal transformation process towards "sustainable development" is described, also the way this concept remained encased in coastal zone integral approach, which was promoted from Agenda 21 in Rio (1992). At the end, some conceptual elements are proposed in order to contribute to an alternative post-development approach toward coastal zone sustainability.
