Abstract:
The Osborne Effect is known as the result of a premature revelation of information about future products of a company and, consequently, the customers stop to buy the current available products. In the case of Osborne Computer Corporation, this effect could be so strong that, besides other factors, forced to bankruptcy. Later, it would be demonstrate that this effect contribution was less important than others factors. That company's founder, however, was a fabulous entrepreneur that founded the business in the area of portable computers and contributed with new philosophies in the software pro- duction.
