Abstract: This paper makes an historical review of the influence of belief systems in education, from the antiquity to current times in Chile. Our intention is far from judging the work of the different belief systems and their influence in education, but we seek to settle down and analyze the importance of the most notorious religious clusters in Chile and their belief systems.
