Abstract: Besides a fundamental right, strike is an important tool available to the working class to demand better working conditions, or express their dissatisfaction toward political or business decisions. Therefore, the fact that a strike is called should be a matter for the media to exert a profound reflection on the social-labor context of the country, thus allowing the emergence of a constructive and critical awareness. In contrast, the role of the media are centered in defending the right to work of those who do not strike that day, even without delving into the causes of his decision, not always freely made. The need to establish mechanisms which ensure the freedom of choice to the workers to a strike call, so strikes can be a useful tools in society to promote beneficial changes for the most of people.
