Comparación Internacional: El Índice de Desarrollo Humano para 20 Países Latinoamericanos (1980-2005)

Abstract: Initially the historical antecedents of the international comparison are detailed, subsequently some theoretical and methodological elements of the same ones are analyzed; later on it talks the utility of the Index of Human Development to gender focus, like instrument of great value to have an approach of the human development in each country; it is also analyzed the importance of the homogeneity of the indicators for the calculation of the index one and finally he/she is carried out the calculation and the graphic representation of Development Human's Index for 20 Latin American countries between the years 1980 and the 2005, where they group the countries with high, half levels and under of human development.
