Abstract: La diversificación productiva y la pobreza, han despertado el interés de muchos autores en la actualidad, pues la diversificación productiva del sector rural es una estrategia de supervivencia tanto en México como en Latinoamérica; así, el 40% del ingreso monetario de los hogares rurales es no agropecuario (De Janvry y Sadoulet, 2001)
