Are the United States still the ï¿½Godï¿½s Countryï¿½?

Arriving to the ï¿½new worldï¿½ across the Atlantic Ocean from England, the Founding Fathers, as an act of thankfullness to Godï¿½s guidance, called the United States the ï¿½Godï¿½s Countryï¿½. On the other hand, serious scholars would call them the ï¿½unfinished countryï¿½ and quite a few political scientists would talk about ï¿½our more perfect Unionï¿½, touching on the variety and contradictions of the Two-centuries and a half old ï¿½nation of nationsï¿½.
