Current Advancements in Dendrimer Technology in Cancer Therapy

Abstract: Cancer is a leading cause of death worldwide, and the main treatment methods for this condition are surgery, chemotherapy, and radiotherapy.Over the past forty years, dendrimer research has expanded rapidly, from synthesis to applications because of their unique structural features such as their nanoscopic size, multifunctionalized surface, high branching etc., Hence the current review article mainly focused to explore the history, characteristics, impact of dendrimers in nanotechnology, role of dendrimer nano-carriers in cancer treatment with and recent advancements of dendrimers as drug delivery vehicles.
