Abstract: Introduction: Sleep is a fundamental biological process essential for maintaining physical health, emotional well- being, and overall quality of life. It plays a critical role in memory consolidation, immune system functioning, cellular repair, and emotional regulation. Despite its importance, sleep disturbances are increasingly prevalent across all age groups, especially among the elderly population. Methodology: A quasi- experimental design (non- randomized control group design) was used to check the Video Assisted Programme on management of sleep disturbances among senior citizens. Total 76 senior citizens (38 in experimental group and 38 in control group) were selected by using non probability purposive sampling technique. The Pittsburgh Sleep Quality Index is used to assess the sleep quality. Data was analyzed by using descriptive and inferential statistics. Results: in the study, the socio- demographic variables vary in both experimental and control group, majority of participants (36.8%) falls in category 70- 74 years and (52.6%) falls in category 60- 64 years. Majority of the participants were married and were belonged to joint family. Pre- test PSQI score indicates the mean score is 12.76±2.990 and 13.08±2.603 in experiment and control group respectively. Following the intervention, the post- test mean score is 4.84±1.386 and 13.34±2.560 in experiment and control group respectively. Conclusion: Post- test reveals that the Video Assisted Programme was effective in management of sleep disturbances among senior citizens.
