International Journal of Scientific Research in Science and Technology, 2025, vol. 12, issue 4, 920-922

Abstract: Emotional Intelligence (EI) has emerged as a critical component in the holistic development of students, influencing their academic success, social interactions, and mental well-being. Physical Education (PE), traditionally associated with physical fitness, has now been recognized for its role in fostering emotional and social competencies. This systematic review explores the relationship between Physical Education and Emotional Intelligence development among school students. By analysing existing literature, this study highlights the effectiveness of PE programs in enhancing self-awareness, self-regulation, motivation, empathy, and social skills in students. The review emphasizes the need for integrating structured emotional intelligence modules within PE curricula to promote comprehensive student development.
