International Journal of Scientific Research in Science and Technology, 2025, vol. 12, issue 6, 546-549

Abstract: The present study evaluates the antioxidant potential of four Ayurvedic formulations, ADC-01 (Sitopaladi Churna), ADC-02 (Shwaskuthar Ras), ADC-03 (Talisadi Churna), and ADC-04 (Mahasudarshan Ghanvati) using the DPPH radical scavenging assay. Oxidative stress is a major contributor to viral and inflammatory diseases, including COVID-19, due to excessive reactive oxygen species (ROS) generation. The formulations were compared for their DPPH radical scavenging potential and IC50 values. ADC-02 demonstrated the strongest antioxidant activity (IC50 = 58.15 µg/mL), followed by ADC-04 (77.68 µg/mL), ADC-01 (89.36 µg/mL), and ADC-03 (91.00 µg/mL). The study provides a scientific basis for the traditional use of these formulations in mitigating oxidative stress-related conditions.
