Abstract:
Wastewater management is essential for protecting the environment and public health. Rapid urban growth, industrial development, and population increase have led to the production of large amounts of wastewater. If not treated properly, this wastewater pollutes natural water sources, damages ecosystems, and creates serious health risks. As a result, effective wastewater management is now critical worldwide. Current wastewater monitoring systems rely mostly on manual or semi-automated processes. This can cause delays in monitoring, inefficient use of resources, and challenges in detecting unusual conditions. This paper introduces a Smart Cloud-Based Wastewater Management System that uses Internet of Things (IoT) sensors, cloud computing, and real-time data analysis to improve wastewater monitoring and management. Multiple sensors measure important water quality parameters like temperature, pH, turbidity, total dissolved solids (TDS), electrical conductivity (EC), and flow rate. An ESP32 microcontroller collects and processes the sensor data, sending it to a cloud platform via Wi-Fi. Real-time dashboards and mobile applications allow for remote monitoring of system performance. Alert notifications are issued when readings are abnormal. The proposed system is cost-effective, scalable, and ideal for smart wastewater management applications
