External trade – sustainable economic growth factor

Abstract:
The aim of this paper is to provide a short analyze of Romanian external trade activity taking into account the characteristics of companies involved in exports and imports as well as to identify the key areas to be further developed for a sustainable development of national economy based on export activity. It is provided an analyze of the external trade by type of companies involved, capital ownership and main sectors in which these enterprises act on Romanian market. In the same time, it is provided an analyze of external trade by technologies incorporated in traded goods as well as a short view on main revealed advantages and disadvantages recorded by Romania as against the EU.
