A economia política da crise e da mudança estrutural na Ásia
Carlos Aguiar de Medeiros
Revista Economia e Sociedade, 2001, vol. 17, 22
Abstract:
This paper argues that some important structural changes that occurred in East and South East Asian countries in the last years were strongly shaped by financial liberalization and American mercantilistic pressures. The Chinese fast growth and the Japanese economic contention brought about an "excess of competition" to increase the market share in information technology products in American economy. The Chinese economic strategy and the complexity of regional interests were considered.
