Classes sociais e desemprego no Brasil dos anos 1990

Waldir Quadros

Revista Economia e Sociedade, 2002, vol. 20, 27

Abstract: The unemployment in Brazil has worsened dramatically since the end of the eighties, particularly after 1995 with the Real Plan. Despite being a general phenomenon, it?s necessary to state two main distinctions. From a social view, it appears stronger in the blue collars and in the lower white collars as well with the lower middle classes. And also in these classes, the young people (15 to 24 years old) were the most affected.
