Abstract: La stima di una funzione di costo medio per potenziare l?efficacia della yardstick regulation nel settore della distribuzione di energia elettrica: una sperimentazione sul caso svizzero (di Roberto Fazioli, Massimo Filippini e J?rg Wild) - ABSTRACT: In this paper we have examined the cost structure of a sample of Swiss electricity distribution utilities. To do so, we have considered estimation of an average cost model. A log-log cost function was estimated using panel data for a sample of 45 municipal utilities over the period 1992-1996. The results indicate the existence of economies of output and customer density and economies of scale. Moreover, the regulator could use the average cost function estimated in this paper for yardstick regulation of the network access prices.
